Jarome E. Gautreaux

Jarome Gautreaux, Georgia Injury AttorneyJarome E. Gautreaux is an attorney dedicated to helping his clients recover from the burdens of an injury or the death of a loved one. Jarome’s clients have included people injured at work or in automobile or trucking accidents, as well as the families of loved ones who have died because of injuries received in the workplace or in automobile or trucking accident.   He has also represented people and families in cases involving dangerous products, such as defective cars or lawnmowers, and in cases involving careless medical care.  The one common theme to most of his cases is that he represents families or persons who have been injured through no fault of their own and are up against very powerful organizations, such as insurance companies or large corporations, which may not voluntarily offer fair compensation to people injured by negligence.   Jarome greatly enjoys helping his clients achieve fair and just results, whether through settlements or through trial by jury.

Jarome is an adjunct professor at Mercer Law School, where he teaches Pretrial Advocacy.   After completing law school, Jarome was honored to be selected as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard Mills, District Judge for the Central District of Illinois, in Springfield, Illinois.  Since returning to Macon, Jarome has actively practiced in the state and federal courts at both the trial level and the appellate level.   He has successfully tried cases to verdicts in counties across the state of Georgia, from the metro Atlanta counties to the middle Georgia area, including Bibb and Houston Counties.   His peers have selected him as a “Rising Star” in Georgia and he has served as president of the Middle Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.   He is also a member of the Amicus Curiae committee of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association.  Jarome has published and spoken on various legal topics, including trial practice, governmental liability, evidence, and procedure, and he currently chairs the “Essential Torts” seminar for the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association in Macon. When he is not helping clients with their legal matters, Jarome enjoys coaching his two boys in their various sports, competing in triathlons, reading, and trying to beat his wife at Scrabble.
